Budapest, July 17

Our last day in Budapest was pretty quiet.  Its hard to imagine that we would need to rest up from the river cruise but we did!

Today's plan was to go back to an Art Museum we passed yesterday.  On the way we passed Budapest's version of the dollar store!

This is the gallery we saw today.  It was built in 1872.  The exterior is quite beautiful.

This is the entrance.  The museum contains  a lot of period furniture, household items and art from various periods.

Some shots of the beautiful interior.

We grabbed some ice cream for lunch and went back to our hotel.  I had a lovely 3 hour nap and Betty read her novel.
Tonight we had a dinner tour booked with folk music which we were looking forward to.  They didn't show up to pick us up and said we weren't booked even though we have a confirmed voucher.

So we went out to a nearby Mexican restaurant and called it a day.

Tomorrow's pick-up for the first of 2 flights which will get us to Sophia is 08:30AM.
