We left the hotel after a late leisurely breakfast and arrived at our boat just after noon. They had a light lunch prepared for us and then offered a tour of Amsterdam but we decided to stay on the boat as we had done our touring of Amsterdam. Before supper we had a welcome talk and orientation to the boat. They gave the itinerary for the next day. They give us the tour information daily in newsletter form. There are 190 people on the boat.
This is the side of the boat as we walked on the pier.
We have a middle level cabin. It has full patio doors but no balcony. The river is calm so the ride is smooth.
On the top deck are some games and deck chairs.
They say we will pass through 67 locks on the trip.. That is a lot. I haven't seen one yet except right at Amsterdam..
Here is the shuffleboard and beside it is a lovely herb garden for the kitchen.
The third game is a tiny mini golf.
Looking past the deck chairs at the city of Amsterdam.
We are this close to Central Station looking from our boat. Lots of trains come through here.
We leave Amsterdam tonight at 11:30 and sail till 8:00 AM. I am still tired from jet lag and think I will sleep very well.
